Scenic Dutchess County, NY
*****
Welcome to our world, the world of Arabian
horses. As part of that world, the Hudson Valley Arabian Horse Association is
home to a wide variety of members, all united in their love of the Arabian
horse. Our membership is remarkable in its diversity, from individuals with
beloved Arabians in backyard pastures to talented Arabian horse trainers to
breeders of small but select numbers of horses to owners of large farms
containing a plethora of gorgeous Arabian horses.
The Hudson Valley Arabian Horse
Association was born in 1970. Its parents were a small group of dedicated
Arabian Horse lovers who came together in the
This new club gave the Arabian horse
lovers in the area a home, a means of getting together to enjoy each other’s
company, to benefit from a supportive atmosphere, to provide social and
educational opportunities, and, most importantly, to promote the Arabian horse.
We continue today to provide a supportive
base for all owners and admirers of the Arabian Horse. One of our primary goals
is to reach out to promote the fine qualities of the Arabian breed. We also
endeavor to provide opportunities for a wide variety of social, competitive,
and educational activities both for our members and for the rest of the equine
community. Membership is open to anyone interested in Arabian, Half-Arabian,
and Anglo-Arabian horses. It is not a prerequisite for HVAHA membership to own
an Arabian, Half-Arabian, or even a horse at all. All that is necessary is a
love and an appreciation for our breed in particular and for horses in general.
Come share the beauty, gentility,
excitement, integrity, and spirit that makes the Arabian horse.
